FAQs
Clear answers. Concierge support.
Everything you want to know about working with Uplift — from pricing and prep to finishes, warranty and care. Use the smart search, filter by topic, or ask us directly.
How do you price a project?
We combine onsite assessment with a detailed scope: access, prep level, substrate condition, areas, and product system. Your proposal shows inclusions, allowances and any optional upgrades (e.g. premium enamel or specialty finishes). Fixed‑price unless scope changes.
Can you work to a specific date?
We confirm a start date on acceptance and provide daily updates. Because access and weather can shift, we avoid promising rigid finish dates up front — instead we keep you informed so delivery stays predictable.
What are your payment terms?
Typically a deposit on booking, progress claims for larger projects, and balance on completion after walkthrough. All terms are stated in your proposal and invoice.
What preparation is included?
Filling, sanding, gap sealing, stain‑blocking and priming where required. We also handle surface cleaning. Larger remedial issues (e.g. water damage) are flagged with options before paint.
Do you move and protect furniture?
Yes — we protect floors, fixtures and furniture with care, and maintain tidy, respectful work areas each day.
Can we live in the home while you paint?
Usually yes. We stage work area by area, use low‑odour products, and provide daily tidies. We’ll plan around school pick‑ups, naps or work‑from‑home needs.
Which paint brands do you use?
Premium, low‑VOC systems matched to your surface and sheen preferences. We provide a spec pack with brand, colour codes and finish.
Are your paints low‑VOC?
Yes — we specify low‑VOC systems for healthier indoor air, with zero/very low odour during and after application.
How durable are epoxy floors?
Expect 10–20 years depending on use and environment. Our systems are resistant to impact, chemicals and hot‑tyre pickup; optional UV‑stable topcoats protect from yellowing.
What is covered by your warranty?
A 10‑year workmanship warranty on our prep and application. Product warranties follow manufacturer terms. We supply care guidelines to keep coverage valid.
How do we keep the finish looking new?
See our Care & Maintenance page for surface‑by‑surface routines, a stain solver and downloadable reminders.
Do you work after hours or staged areas?
Yes — we programme works to minimise downtime: night shifts, weekends and staged floorplates by arrangement. SWMS and insurances supplied.
Can you meet body‑corp and compliance requirements?
Absolutely. We coordinate access, lifts, loading zones and site inductions, and provide MSDS/product data as needed.
Two-minute deep dives
Picking a white that won’t turn pink/green Colour
- Test in your light: brush‑outs on 2 walls; check morning/afternoon.
- Watch surrounds: timber floors add warmth; greenery cools.
- Balance with trims/ceilings: choose complementary undertones.
Low‑VOC vs Zero‑VOC — what’s the difference? Health
Both are healthy choices. Zero‑VOC paints start with negligible solvent content; low‑VOC is also very low. We select systems that stay low even after tinting.
Why we avoid rigid completion dates Process
Prep findings, weather and access can change. We lock in start, stage works, and provide daily updates so you’re never guessing.
